Join us for this exciting new short course:
Yin Yoga Teacher Training
Nevertire Yoga is a registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance, and a continuing education provider.
As with all Yoga practices, Yin Yoga seeks to balance the energy within the body, leading us to inner calm and clarity.
From the ancient roots of Yoga many stout new branches have sprung. Yin Yoga is one. Swirling together the ancient philosophies of the Vedas and the Tao, with the modern ideals of Grilley's Yin Yoga postures, Yin Yoga works with the deeper tissues and the fascia of the body, and everything old is new again.
Many modern Yoga practices focus on the Yang energy - rigourous postures practiced with a tempo that the ancient sages never envisioned. The euphoria of a physcial workout is fleeting and often the only peace found in such practices.
Yin Yoga, however, is all about slowing down, letting go and delving deep within. Combined with the pranayama, chanting and meditation from the sages, Yin Yoga can lead the practioner into a deep sense of calm, beauty and well being.
Don't think it is easy Yoga! Yin Yoga can be very challenging as poses are held for a minimun of five minutes. For most of us super human beings, letting go is a huge challenge!
I invite to to come and try Yin Yoga any week day morning for no cost, and for many benefits! (See previous page)

- Paul Grilley, author of Yin Yoga: Outline of a Quiet Practice
Yin Yoga is a practice much needed in today's difficult, divisive times. It offers us a way to leave behind our ideas of how we should be, and return to our true selves, where all lasting healing takes place. Bernie Clark has written a wonderfully detailed account of the history, philosophy, and practice of Yin Yoga. I recommend it not only for those interested in Yin Yoga, but for all yoga practitioners.
